The Kolibri Games Newsletter

Hi there!

Enjoy the August Edition of the Kolibri Games Newsletter. This is where we review the events of the past weeks and keep you updated on recent company and product milestones.

Company Milestones

This month, we announced the opening of our new studio, Kolibri Games BucharestWe are extremely excited about this expansion to Romania. The team will grow to 50 talented game makers by next summer and will explore new games within the Idle Miner Tycoon universe.

We’re thrilled that, only a few months after being acquired by Ubisoft, we are already able to benefit from the global network and the immense level of expertise of our new partner for our own growth.

We Appeared In

Our Co-CEO Daniel sat down with Fabian Tausch from the Jungunternehmer Podcast and talked about Kolibri Games’ founding days, previous entrepreneurial endeavors and advice for young founders.

In addition, our friends at GetSocial published a case study about how, together, we were able to boost our social installs with the help of a referral system.

Further, among others, the team over at Pocketgamer reported on our expansion and our new studio, Kolibri Games Bucharest.

The Kolibri Games Blog

Over on our blog, we continued our journey through UA in free-to-play mobile games.

The second post in the series discussed the importance of showing the right ad to the right player – cohort analysis, A/B testing, and much more – to ensure that we have a steady flow of new installs.

The third post discussed engagement and why it’s important to know when, where and how players are engaging with the features of your game.

Product Updates

This month, our Idle Miner Tycoon team worked hard on implementing a new event mine push notification that reminds players that the current event mine is ending soon. In addition, the team rolled out the new Royal Treasury Draw that allows players to win awesome prizes and overhauled the ad boost panel.

Kolibri Games Events

Waste and pollution in big cities have serious environmental consequences, and Berlin is no exception here. Plastic waste finds its way into rivers, severely impacting water quality, and countless animals die confusing waste with food.

Therefore, a group of Kolibris took some time out of their day and, equipped with grippers, cleaned up around the Kolibri HQ.

We were happy to do our part in counteracting the status quo and contributing to the preservation of a safe habitat for animals and plants.

Open Positions

This month, we are looking for a (Senior) Unity Games Developer to join our team, so if you enjoy working in a faced-paced environment on free-to-play mobile titles, or know someone who does, make sure to check out the job description on our career page.
